Comprehensive Asthma Programs
We provide a comprehensive asthma program with testing, diagnosis, disease management and education. Our goal is to prevent emergency room visits and hospital admissions with a holistic approach. Our team can help identify triggers and monitor disease severity with peak flow measurements. Therapists provide one-on-one education to manage symptoms and compliance with maintenance and acute medications.
Smoking Cessation Counseling
We know that quitting smoking is difficult. We offer both outpatient and inpatient cessation counseling. We understand cravings and how to replace the habit of smoking with healthy options. We will provide individualized sessions to meet our patients' needs.
What is COPD? Am I at risk?
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a serious lung disease. COPD may be used to describe other lung conditions such as emphysema or chronic bronchitis. Those who suffer from COPD may have partially blocked airways. Airways allow air in and out of your lungs. Blocked airways make it difficult to breathe. Symptoms include “smoker’s cough”, shortness of breath, wheezing and excess sputum production.
What can I do?
Your physician may order pulmonary function testing. The test can detect COPD before symptoms worsen. This simple breathing test measures the amount of air you can blow out of your lungs and how fast you can blow the air. The test can help your physician determine the best treatment for you.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation
Pulmonary rehabilitation is an eight-week program providing information and support to meet the challenges of living with a chronic lung disorder. Each participant receives an individualized treatment plan consisting of education and exercise recommendations.
