MARTINS FERRY, Ohio — Thursday is National Nurses Day and staff members at East Ohio Regional Hospital are happy to be back on the job in the place they call 'home'.

The hospital reopened in February.

"The support and rally that we had in the community, particularly Martins Ferry, as well as the county officials and the overwhelming support we had from staff who all wanted to come back,” Chief Nursing Officer Christine Kerwood said. “And they referred to this place as home.
