MARTINS FERRY — East Ohio Regional Hospital received an award from the Eastern Ohio Development Alliance during a ceremony held Friday in Walnut Creek, Ohio.

Jim Schoch, executive director of the Eastern Ohio Development Alliance, said the story of East Ohio Regional Hospital reopening is an impressive one. It led to the creation of a new category of award — Reemerging Business Excellence Award.

Schoch said the hospital was nominated for the honor by the Belmont County Port Authority and Belmont County Commissioner J.P. Dutton.
